Season House @ Agricultural Park

Last Friday, I went to Agricultural Park (Bukit Cahaya) with a bunch of friends. There are so many things to see and do here that you need more than a day to do it justice.

The best way to see what this huge Agricultural Park has to offer is by bicycle, which can be rented here. Cycling up and down the hills, passing through beautiful lakes that decorate the Park is an exhilarating experience itself.

But too bad, the day I went was a public holiday and all the bicycles had been rented out when I reached there.

Deep & Meaningful Quotes

When you see a man of worth, think of how you may emulate him. When you see one who is unworthy, examine yourself.
Confucius

Nothing is predestined: The obstacles of your past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings.
Ralph Blum

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
Groucho Marx

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost.
Dalai Lama

"Each day is a new canvas to paint upon. Make sure your picture is full of life and happiness, and at the end of the day you don't look at it and wish you had painted something different."

Seafood @ Kuala Selangor

My first day in the new department (Business Development Department) was awesome! I'm glad to have chance to follow up an event with the department manager. Well, there were only two people in the office this morning while other colleagues had gone for outstation. After dealing with some trivial stuff, my manager came and asked me : I'll be going out for a meeting and wouldn't come back again, you remember to switch off the lights before going back. Or you want to come along with me? I can fetch you back later.

Instinctively, I said YES! (Why not? I will never miss any chances to learn new things). Together with another marketing executive, three of us came to this small town located in Selangor -- Sekinchan. After driving for about an hour we reached Sekinchan, just after Kuala Selangor towards Teluk Intan. Sekinchan is known as the ricebowl of Malaysia with a lot of paddy fields and some pretty interesting fishing villages.*attracted*

After ah hour meeting with the clients, we headed off to Kuala Selangor. We discussed about the coming events included the sponsorship, assurance, publicity and other related things. It was almost 6pm when the discussion ended. My manager suggested to have dinner at one of the seafood restaurants as the seafood is fresh and delicious. Thanks to my manager for treating me lunch and also dinner, I had seafood for my lunch and dinner. *yummy*

Headed back home after dinner, reached home about 8pm exhausted!

Rain Club @ Sri Hartamas

Last Friday, I went to a big event party that only opened for media people. Celcom Axiata Berhad was once again celebrating its long-standing relationship with all the media. A fun-filled night brimming with sumptuous food, exciting games, great music and entertaining performances at CELCOM MEDIA NIGHT!

This event was held at the Rain Club@Sri Hartamas. There were so crowded when I first went in. Firstly, the media had to register their name and take a photograph. It was started by two hot girls singing hot songs on the stage. The host was outstanding! The environment was great! The media night was awesome!

There were RM10,000 cash, BlackBerry devices(14's) and many more fabulous prizes to be win. Too bad, I only got a blue teddy bear.

All the media (broadcast/newspaper/others)

Everyone was waiting for the lucky draw session

Thanks for the compliment!

What a lucky day

Well, I'm feeling so excited and happy right now! It is 1 o'clock in the morning but something has made me sleepless tonight.

The lucky day story is like this: I went in to the office at 10am but only few people were in the office. After a short while, the Nanyang deputy managing editor came and talked to me (normal chatting). He asked me about which university I from, what I like to do the most and which career path will I choose after the internship program.

I told him everything that I sent my resume to 8tv and Astro company but they replied me late, I got the offer letter from Nanyang just after the next day I had sent. My lecturer didn't allow us to change once we got any offer letter. I said that I like to talk, to meet new people, to organize events and  to have flexible timetable. He said he would help me to ask about it whether can change to business development department (event/promotion) or not.

I was a bit of shock that he has shown concern for me, especially when he mentioned the word "I give you the priority". *laughed* After an hour, he came and told me that I've successfully been transferred to that department. He sent them an email by saying that I'm outgoing, proactive and very good in treating people..... Once again, I was shocked! Thanks for the compliment! I'll improve myself more and be my best!

2 weeks were gone, I had fun in editorial department. Although I don't like news writing, but I get along well with colleagues. A sweet memory that I will never forget Thanks God! Thanks everyone for treating me so well! *touched*

This is the email message
(I can 'fly' up high after reading all the compliments!)

Go Go Go, Eaven!

Kit Mun's Birthday

It was almost 8 o'clock in the evening when I reached home. The first thing came into my mind was 'news report'! I went to a press conference about ISM (Insurance Services Malaysia Berhad) this afternoon and I had to submit the news report to my supervisor by 10pm. It's not easy to be a reporter but I like challenging job because it gives me the sense of fulfillment.

Thanks God! I could finish it by 9pm! Then? I took a hot shower and get myself prepared for attending my friend's birthday celebration at 10pm. Here I came to Little Bally, SS15 Subang Jaya.

Honestly, I would like to say that Little Bally is much more better than Station 1. The nature-based environment, nice foods and beverages, nice songs and good services are making this a great place to gather with friends. *thumb up*

I ordered a set dinner (Mango Fish Fillet + Iced Lemon Tea @ RM8.90)
It tastes like Thai fillet with a bit of spicy.

Thanks to Karen & Wen Sun who got this creative idea.
Different flavors of cake for different types of us.

Miss Beauty Queen Malaysia

Have you ever heard of any Miss Beauty competition that allow the contestants to wear head scarf? Or have you ever seen any Muslim contestant in beauty competition? No right?

MBQ World creates a unique event by organizing various beauty pageants such as Mr. Model Malaysia, Miss Beauty Queen Malaysia, Mrs. Beauty Malaysia and the company will promote the winner to be the charity activity ambassadors.

This year, the company is organizing "Miss Beauty Queen Malaysia 2010" and the finale will be held on 23th of May. According to the president Miss Molly, this is a very special beauty competition that gives equal opportunities to all candidates regardless of race and religious. No swimming suit or any sexy clothes for them.

14 pageants were selected in the previous auditions and each of them represented all the 14 states in Malaysia: Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. The winner will get RM10 thousand of cash, full wardrobe and LE Vain jewel sponsored by USA.

I went to the press conference in Grand Hotel, KL, today. As usual, foods and beverages were provided for all the media and also the free gift. I saw the contestants and noticed that there was only a pretty girl and the rest is okay. As what the president had said : "We're looking for inner beauty, pleasant personality, manner and must have passion to help the society". *wink*

The invitation card (23th of May, 2010 @ Seri Endon, Puspanitapuri)

As usual, the media will be given a free gift.

Bumbu Bali Restaurant

Everyone is going to celebrate Mother's Day today but I'm a good girl, I celebrated it together with my grandmother yesterday. So, I had my dinner in an authentic Balinese restaurant after watching movie today. This restaurant was recommended by one of my friends who always go for food travel. My first time been here -- Bumbu Bali @ Bandar Puteri Puchong.

“The Food of Bali”, “Bali Unveiled: The Secrets of Balinese Cuisine”, “Feast of Flavors from the Balinese Kitchen”, and the soon to be released “Street food of Bali” one will discover most of the secret dishes and delights served on the  menu. For me, I think the pricing is a bit of expensive if your budget is below RM30. If you would like to try the delicious foods and beverages, remember to bring money at least RM40.

You should have a try on the extravagant beauty and delights of Bali. You know, I have always wanted to go around and try nice foods. *wink*

First floor: Night view

Barley Lemon RM15 per jug
(It tastes like normal lime juice)

BBQ Dory @ RM24
(It's a bit of spicy but overall the dish is okay only)

Grilled Fillet of Dory @ RM23
(Somehow, I like the salad and the fillet is delicious)

Most of the dishes added with salad, vegetable and fruit.

When you come out from the toilet, you can see the traditional Balinese home compound.

One thing is, I couldn't find any mirror in the toilet/ washroom. *T__T*
