Port Dickson Trip - 2D1N

"Sand beneath our feet and beneath our feet;
big blue sky above our heads"

At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. No need to keep stressing from our everyday life on our minds. We have got to leave all that behind!

I enjoyed my trip to Port Dickson with a bunch of lovely friends. "You will enjoy the trip if you go with the right people." I strongly agreed with that!

My friends and I went to Port Dickson for 2 days 1 night (27/8/11 - 28/8/11) and the place we stayed was in Glory Beach Resort. The whole trip costs approximately RM100 per person (there were five of us), inclusive of accommodation, petrol fee, toll fare, breakfast buffet, lunch and seafood dinner.

We supposed to check in at 3pm or onwards but we arrived there earlier at 2pm. Luckily, the receptionist allowed us to go in the room before 3pm. After packing all the stuffs, we had a quick lunch which prepare by ME! Yeah, it's just a homemade fried noodles and some desserts. *got good feedback from my friends*

After having lunch, we met up with our friend Karen who came with her big family. Yes, really big family (more than 10 people)! Just had some chats with her and then we had to say 'goodbye' to her because she was having family gathering. *sad*

TO THE BEACH!!!

I said: Come walk with me, take off your shoes!

You have to pay if you want to have a ride on the banana boat

You never know how many friends you have until you go on picnic!

The language of friendship is not words but meanings *wink*

 My god! This is hilarious!

Look at my friend (middle) Sook Man! This motion looks familiar on TV right?

To myself I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me.

Weng Yin Seafood Village @ Port Dickson

Weng Yin Seafood Village (九哩香海鮮村) is located along the main road of Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

The reason we selected this place for our dinner was because of it had a 'thumb-up' from people who went before. The place is always packed with people if compared to other nearby seafood restaurants but I personally think that the food there were okay only. Some were too salty or spicy.

Kam Heong Crab @ RM30 *the crabs were too small as in size*

 Stir-fried Lala @ RM18 *delicious*

Oyster Omelet (Oh Jien) @ RM12 *okay*

Herbal Chicken @ RM36 *the soup is nice*

Kangkung Belacan @ RM8 *too salty*

Overall, the food is recommendable to family and friends. My friends and I ordered 5 dishes and 1 jug of sugarcane drink which cost about RM119 only.

Dim Sum Buffet @ Janbo Chinese Restaurant

If you are looking for Chinese authentic cuisine or Hong Kong Dim Sum (buffet style), Janbo Group of Restaurants can be one of your choices. It has few branches but the one i went is located in Cheras.

My friend Issac Rose brought us to this restaurant after badminton session today. Personally, i think the Janbo's dim sum buffet is quite cheap for RM15.50++ per person. You can eat all you can! But of course, you will get forfeited if you couldn't finish the dim sum.

It was a good day today!

The environment is comfortable if compared to those typical dim sum restaurants but one thing that i dislike is there are people in poor service attitude.

There are more than 40 items to choose from the menu which includes dim sum either steamed or fried, noodles and porridge.

 Fried Carrot Cakes

 Fried Spring Rolls

 Prawn

 Pork

Siu Mai wrapped in dumpling skin

 Steamed Fish Balls

Cha-Siu Pao

Janbo's dim sim is not that spectacular but it surely beats quite a number of dim sum restaurants I have been to. By paying less than RM20, you get to eat all the dim sum you want. Frankly, it is a really good deal!

Dessert Brothers Hong Kong 甜品哥哥

First time came to this dessert shop called "Dessert Brothers" or in Chinese "甜品哥哥". It is located at SS15 Subang Jaya (opposite of Asia Cafe).Well, it was not my first choice of going to a place for drinks. At first, my friend Fellxion decided to go and try the new rest stop "Gong Cha (贡茶) but it was FULL (as expected), then we headed off to "Cha Time (日出茶)" and guess what? It was FULL as well! Alright, here we came to this "Dessert Brothers".

Dessert Brother's menu has a wide variety which made me undecided on what to try out first. Looked through and saw lots of mango infused dessert which looks delectable.

Snow White Black Pearl @ RM12

Almond & White Fungus Stewed Papaya @ RM6.50

Peanut Sweet Soup + Sweet Rice Balls @ RM7.50

 Durian Pan Cake @ RM8.50

Overall, the desserts are considered okay only, not very impressing. Another Friday night gone but I enjoyed it with my buddy. *wink*

Quotes to Myself at this moment

"Things will happen in your life that you can't stop, but that's no reason to shut out the world. There's a purpose for the good and for the bad."

"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen."

Instead of choosing a simple life without discovering oneself, i rather spend time on discovering myself, at least i would not regret till the end of my life. Yes, if I have chosen the first one, my life would be so much easier with less challenge, less risk and even less uncertainty. But i kept asking myself: Is this the life that I want? I admitted that there's like a bump start in my career because there were so many things that i wasn't sure of. But after going through the stages, I understand myself more as I know what I should put a NO and what I can put a YES.

"In order to discover new lands, one must be willing to lose sight of the shore for a very long time."

Friends always say I am stubborn in some sense. But I believe that I can achieve in what I want if I put a hope on it. I made some changes on mindset, just like when you are coming to a dead-end, why not just make a turn and you will soon find your way out.

"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not."
