Why You Should Buy A New Car Instead of Used

Well, i am currently looking for car but still considering whether to get a new car or a second hand ones. I was searching on Google and found this article quite true, so let me share this out:

It seems every bit of advice on the Internet tells you to buy a used car. Buying a new car, after all, will leave you absorbing all the depreciation. But there are plenty of good reasons to buy a new car. Not to mention all of the great new car deals out there to be had!

1. Better Value Than in the Past

In terms of real money, new motor vehicle prices have actually decreased in the past few years. A look at reports of new car prices vs. inflation have shown that a dollar today will buy you more car than it used to. This is partly due to aggressive pricing in a down worldwide economy. But also more efficient processes and increased competition are keeping prices down.

At the same time, cars are more reliable, lasting longer, possessing better fuel efficiency, and holding their value better. It is not unreasonable to see a car last 15 or more years with proper maintenance. Used cars are becoming more and more expensive as depreciation isn't wiping out as much value as before. And when you do the math, depreciation really isn't that bad.

2. Get What You Want

If you're going to be spending thousands of dollars on a new vehicle, you'd best be happy with your purchase. I'm not saying you should pay for every little upgrade that you think is cool. But make a list of the essentials you need and shop for those.

Depending on your area, however, it may be difficult to find a used car that satisfies your wants. Sure Internet buying with sites such as AutoTrader or EBay Motors have made buying a car online possible. But there are obvious risks when purchasing a car you have never seen in person.

When buying a new car, you have access to the dealer's entire inventory and often the inventory of other nearby new car dealers. And if you still can't find what you want, it is always possible to order a customized vehicle.

4. Special Perks

Buy nearly any new car today and you will also be eligible for some excellent perks. Take a vehicle that already costs less and lasts longer than those in the past, and add on additional value increasing perks like proper maintenance, and these deals are looking sweeter by the moment. Some special groups can also receive additional perks. For example, new college graduates have many discounts available to them including:
  • Cashback Bonus
  • Deferred Payments
  • Better Interest Rates
  • Financing even with limited credit history
  • Roadside Assistance
  • and more!

3. Peace of Mind

But perhaps the best reason to buy a new car is the peace of mind. Knowing that your car has always been treated well. Knowing your car has received its maintenance. Knowing your car has fresh parts. Knowing your warranty will protect your car. Knowing you will get what you want. The list goes on, but the reason is clear. Car buying can be a long and stressful experience. But buying new can reduce or even eliminate some of the hardest parts.

Mr. Eaven meets Ms. Eaven

What do you see from the pictures above? Masculinity? Femininity?

My friends and I made a few birthday music videos for one of our best friends. And of course, we had to dress up like something similar to the original music video. Let's see what kind of music videos we did:

  1. 永远在身边 - by 大嘴巴
  2. Love Story - by Taylor Swift

"If I were a BOY...
even just for a day..."

"If I were a boy, I will drink beer with the guys and chase after GIRL."

"If I were a boy,
I think I COULD understand."

"If I were a boy,
I swear I’d be a better MAN."

"I'm standing there
On a balcony in SUMMER air"

"I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were EVER coming around"

"I'll be waiting all there's left to do is RUN"

"I love you and that's all I really know
It's a love story baby just say YES"

Wan Cheng's Wedding Dinner @ 18th March 2012

I think I shall go to bed because tomorrow is a working day and I need to wake up early in the morning. But I just couldn't wait to post about the wedding dinner I attended this evening.

This was the first wedding dinner of the year. We started off at 4.30pm and arrived there at about 5pm. Well, it's written there on the invitation card that the dinner will start at 5 o'clock sharp. I should have known this, Malaysian timing is always 1 hour later than in the written.

It was a very traditional wedding ceremony. For very long time, I never see elders singing oldies on the stage. But today, i had chance to see a few elders singing Chinese oldies and enjoyed themselves. *laugh*

Overall, the food was not as scrumptious as expected. But the thing I enjoyed the most would be the 'high school reunion'. For few friends, i have never saw them for more than 3 years. How excited it was when they came and said HI.

A snap before going to wedding dinner =)

 Guess what's inside? It's chocolate!

First dish: Scallops, baby octopus, pork and vegetables.

Shark Fin Soup *unexpected tasty*

 Deep Fried Prawn

 Mushrooms with broccoli

"Wishing you the joy and happiness that you both deserve, make sure you kiss everynight before going to bed."

CELMONZE Team Building - Together We Can!

All work and no play makes for an innovation dead-end. Encouraging creativity and innovation via play is beneficial on many levels: it can generate creative ideas for new products; it can calibrate an organization's ability to flexibly respond to future challenges; and it can also contribute to the creation of a social context that stimulates creativity in the first place.

In view of this, our company CELMONZE organized a 3 days & 2 nights of team building event this year. The main aim was to provide the employees with a safe and enjoyable experience in which to explore their own behaviours and gel like a team.

Personally, i like playing outdoor games and that why i felt excited to attend the team building event. I think that to fully appreciate the qualities my colleagues possess, i really do need to take time out and get rid of the 9-to-5 agenda. Far from wasting time, this could enable me to develop new ways of working together based on the powerful experience of shared experience.

Day 1 (Feb 26, 2012)
We played 'Ice Breakers' game in order to interact with new people or people we are not familiar with. After knowing each other, we went for obstacle challenge where teams had to help each other to overcome obstacles along the route, such as 5 feet wall, cargo net, Tarzan swing to balancing beams. This was a very good activity to demonstrate the physical aspect of team work.

Eagle Ranch Resort @ Port Dickson

What was the first thing we concerned about after arrival? No doubt, FOOD!

The warm up session where certain people were selected to dance like Ricky Martin. I didn't know how he dances, so I just shook my butt when they started playing music.

First challenge was so called 'Flying Fox'. I love this extreme game as after playing once in National Service camp, I got addicted. That's why my team members could only see my fearless face.

Yeah! Team B's slogan "HooLALA~ HooLALA~ Best of the best!"

This cargo net challenge was not as easy as it seems. I screamed when I was at the top but didn't know where to put my leg and almost lost balance. *embarrassing*

The Tarzan swing game was quite an easy task but some team members felt into the water too. Let's look at another picture where explain why i could go through this challenge without any difficulties.

We snapped a picture before going into the seminar room.

We had photography session while others were still playing 'Police and Thief'. You know why? It's because we were dead being killed by don't know which stupid police or intelligent thief in the game. *laugh*

Another game called 'Shoot You'. This was the final round where one would be eliminated and the top 3 winners would get attractive prizes. Guess what, i was not the one got eliminated. *Hooray*

What's next? Drinking session! We had beers, we sang like a superstar, we danced like LMFAO and we took as many photos as we wanted! *I had fun*

This was the room we stayed for 2 nights. Not bad, right?

Day 2 (Feb 27, 2012)
On the second day, we went to sea side. Yes, we have learned on how to build a raft and tie the knots, and then competed against other teams to grab the flag. How did my scratches come from? You know it. This activity is a good to demonstrate the importance of team cohesiveness. In the afternoon, we played indoor games which were LEGO and ECO challenge.

See, we still could enjoy taking photo while building the raft.

 My team: Team B.

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.

It was my first time playing water polo game and I love it! Thanks Andy, the photographer who took this 'look-like-gymnastics' photo.

LEGO game - a fun game to practise and enhance communication skills.

I find this picture very cute! ^,^

Another game - ECO challenge. We were given a task to build a stand by using newspapers, empty cups & sticks. First idea crossed my mind was building a KLCC but the given materials were so limited.

 Prize giving ceremony

Day 3 (Feb 28, 2012)
Last day, we had the chance to become '1-day F1 racer'.

My team members. All looked very funny with the shower cap. *LOL*

My 'must-win' look. I am not good in this game. At first, i drove like a death squad and almost got hit, then i drove slowly. I always think that life is no take two.
