'Titanic' in 3-D to be Released in 2012

The 1997 James Cameron's blockbuster movie will be re-released to coincidence with the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking. Despite the controversy over the lack of quality of some 3D conversion, Cameron will turn his 1997 film to 3D.

Following the success of Avatar, James Cameron has said that he plans to covert his previous hit film Titanic in 3-D. According to him, this 3-D version will be released in 2012.

Since the director spent years inventing new cameras to shoot Avatar in 3-D, he is not likely to do a cheap and easy 3-D version of Titanic. He has got two years to perfect it. 

AVATAR: SPECIAL EDITION IN THIS AUGUST (EXTRA 8 MINUTES)

Jame Cameron today announced that AVATAR: SPECIAL EDITION will be released in cinema on 27th August, in a limited engagement and exclusively in digital 3D.

He commented: "Audiences repeatedly told me they wanted more of Pandora, and wished they could have stayed there longer. So we're making that possible. This special edition will be exclusively in 3D, and will have 8 minutes of never before seen footage, including new creatures and action scenes. Whether you already love the movie, or you've never seen it, with this special edition, you'll be seeing it like never before."
