Teluk Gong Seafood Restaurant

If you are a seafood-aholic and looking for cheap & fresh seafood, you might have heard of a famous seafood restaurant called Teluk Gong or Coconut Flower Seafood Restaurant. Do bear in mind if you are coming from Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya, you might be in for a little drive trip.

Yesterday, I went to this place with my lovely family and also my sister's boyfriend Alvin. And guess what? The journey to Teluk Gong from Subang Jaya took approximately 45 minutes (luckily I was not the driver). We reached here at about 8pm which can be considered as 'quite early'. I feel that this is the place for the best seafood in Klang area. Not a surprised that they have been in the newspaper and local media. Located in the middle of an oil palm estate, you could see oil palm trees everywhere.

It was not only a dinner. Instead of that, it was a birthday dinner of my younger sister Chloe who has just passed her 2X. If you know my age, it would be easy for you to guess how old she is this year. We ordered 7 dishes with a total amount of RM175. Anyway, I would like to say thank you to the birthday girl for paying the bill. *laughs*

Hi fish-a-holic, it did not look anything like any of the fish in the pictures. Unfortunately I have not caught another one of these fish but I was down at the quay side a few weeks ago and speaking to a guy who was fishing with his son who said he had caught a few scorpion fish so a am leaning towards this as a description. It is one of these things, when you want to catch it you never can do it and when you don't want to you are plagued with them.
I will hopefully catch one in the near future to settle this initial question. I do have my camera in the car all the time so hopefully I will do this.
Cheers
