Hen's Night @ Kokopelli Traveller Bistro (Section 14 Petaling Jaya)

One of my colleagues is getting married very soon, we bridesmaids thought of throwing an unforgettable hen's night while celebrating her belated birthday at the same time. Thus, we planned on how to surprise her but without letting her know our intention.

Well, when it comes to organizing a hen night, it is really down to the hen's personal taste. Often hen parties are planned with a particular theme in mind and dressing up is always amusing on nights out. After scratching head on the dress code, we finally decided to pick the 'white-themed' idea which came out from my colleague who is a designer.

Directed by the designers in our group, the overall decoration was awesome and heart-melting. We placed the helium balloons at the back of our seats and made heart-shaped crafts with red color tissue. We bridesmaids were so secretive and told the bride-to-be it's just a simple dinner.

The dinner was held at Kokopelli Traveller Bistro, a restaurant located at one of the bungalows opposite Jaya 32 Square. It's well decorated with some drawings on wall, cute little furnishing, old school bookshelves, artistic paintings with plants and flowers to match with. Very homey, I loved the ambiance and decorations.

The bride-to-be was so happy and touched of what we have made for her. Let's the pictures below tell you the story:

RAKUZEN Japanese Restaurant @ Empire Shopping Gallery

Rakuzen is home to some of the better Japanese food in KL. A famous restaurant, you'll be lucky if your are immediately seated without a reservation, especially during dinner when the restaurant is packed. I waited 30 minutes for a table but it was worth it.

One thing that I noticed in Rakuzen was the extensive menu, with a variety of speciality dishes. For every dishes I ordered, as soon as the pieces of food touched my tongue, I could taste the freshness of the ingredients and it's impressive.

The service is also excellent, with the wait staff blending into the background, appearing only when you need them. Though the price is on the pricier side, the quality of the food makes up for it tenfold.
