I Will Soon Graduate!

I've just arrived home not long ago. I came back with a big paper bag which is filled with 5 things (graduation gown, cap, entrance sticker, invitation cards & mini gift). Yes! I will soon graduate! *excited*

Oh, I'm so tired! I could hardly open my eyes while writing this post. So, I'm going to stop writing and go to bed because I still have a dinner with a bunch of friends later. *packed schedule*

Blue colour -- symbol of UKM!

My graduation gown, cap and 2 invitations card for my parents to enter the hall.

After taking the gown, I had lunch with my coursemates (Hui Er & Fee Ming)

Pei Shan & Polly (my ex-roommate) *wink*

Noodles (chicken meat & mushrooms)

Butter Cream Chicken
(I wanted to order this but at last, I picked the noodles...sigh...)

Have you ever tried "Orange mixed Vodka"?
Haha! Joking! It's just a normal orange juice =p

Alright, I got to go. Sweet dreams, Eaven!

A Chinese Letter to Her

After reading my friend's blog, I'm desperately need to write her a letter. I have been knowing her for almost 3 years, in other words, she's one of my friends in university. This year, the news of her serious disease came as a shock to us all. She got Lymphoma, in the third stage of cancer. What a unpleasant surprise! That's really hard for me to believe and unlikely to be true. Why must she be so damn unfortunate?

I read her blog regularly and the things she wrote were so REAL. I was touched by her plight and I feel so 'painful' about her situation. Undeniable, she's a very optimistic and strong person. But when I read her blog yesterday, I'm afraid that she might give up due to the physically and mental pain. So, I would like to write a letter to my lovely friend -- Kha Xiong.

Detective Conan

DETECTIVE CONAN! SHINICHI KUDO! CONAN EDOGAWA!!!

It's the Japanese manga series that I like the most! I have been reading this comic books since year 1997. When I was in standard 4, my sister brought home some comic books. Once I started reading the first episode, I couldn't wait to read the next episode because the story is so interesting, mystery and appealing. She always borrowed the comic books from her friends and that's why I didn't need to buy.

When I was in form 2, one of my teacher's husband is the loyal fan of Detective Conan. Thus, I borrowed the vcd from her everyday when I finished class. When I asked her: "Miss Loo, why don't you just lend me all and I can give you back when I finished watching them?". She answered me: "I want you to study at home, watching 1/2 episodes per day is enough for you". *she's really a good teacher*

This few days, I kept watching Detective Conan series at home. With the advantages of PPS, I could watch as many as I want! Yeah! Tell you what, the latest episode (drama series) is 581 and the special edition (movie series) got 13 episodes. I'm waiting for the new coming episode: 14: The Lost Ship In The Sky.

The story follows the adventures of Shinichi Kudo, a prodigious young detective who was inadvertently transformed into a child due to a poison. He will be renaming himself Conan Edogawa to hide his real identity in order to protect his beloved ones... [read more]

Congratulation! Chole Sun!

Congrats to my younger sister who successfully got the offer letter from UUM (Universiti Utara Malaysia) this afternoon. The courses she picked was Marketing (4 years). Personally, I think this marketing course is quite suitable for her as she likes to talk, to meet new people, to socialize and she got the talent in communication.

According to the given information in the letter, my sister has to attend the official convention in UUM this Sunday. Oh! How many days left? Let me count on it...is 4 days left! The problem is she doesn't want to study in UUM for so long. I know the place is quite 'kampung' and got no entertainment there. But if i were her, I would definitely go and study. No doubt.

So, I hope she could make the decision by tonight. Sigh...

Paul the Octopus invited to Spanish Festival

O Carballino, a town situated in the north-western Galicia region in Spain, has awarded the octopus with Honorary Citizenship and requested its owners in Germany to allow the ‘psychic’ creature to attend their annual Octopus Festival as the Guest of Honour this year.

Carlos Montes, the mayor of O Carballino, said they hoped the eight-legged oracle who predicted Spain’s World Cup triumph would be allowed by the aquarium staff at Sea Life in Oberhuasen, Germany to travel to their festival on August 8.

There has also been news about several Galician businessmen collecting 30,000 euros to make an offer to buy the amazing ‘soccer pundit’ octopus.

The oracle creature gained worldwide recognition with his flawless predictions at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup 2010, getting eight out of eight correct: seven Germany games, including the third place match, as well as the final of the tournament.

Paul has also become immensely popular in Spain for he correctly picked the Spanish to lift the trophy. Even Spanish maestro and scorer of the winning goal against the Dutch in the final, Andres Iniesta, was witnessed holding a plastic octopus during celebrations in Madrid on Monday.
In spite of all of this, it might not be the best thing for Paul to travel to these parts of Spain. Octopus is considered a real delicacy there, especially in Galicia, where boiled octopus served finely sliced with paprika, olive oil and boiled potatoes is the speciality.

Astrological Weight At Birth

After having my lunch, I'm here sitting in front of my laptop and surfing around. I found something quite interesting about Feng Shui and Astrological tests.

According to Chinese tradition, our luck are based on our own astrological weight at birth. The Chinese traditionally arrange to have the astrological weight of their babies calculated at birth as they strongly believe that weight offers an accurate indication of the baby's life fortune.

If you're interested, kindly visit the website: http://www.wofs.com/index.php?option=com_custompages&Itemid=89

I key-in my date of birth and time of birth together. Then, I got this result:

You will face many challenges in life when you are young. But do not give up as in later years you will enjoy an abundance of good luck and wealth. If you are feeling overwhelmed, place a laughing Buddha in your living room to help you cope with the bad times when problems and difficulties arise.
