Breaking news!!! Ending all suspense and speculations, Paul the Octopus has predicted that Spain will win the FIFA World Cup 2010, by beating the Netherlands in the final. Paul also predicted that Germany will finish third.
Over in Singapore, AP reported that Mani crept out its his small wooden cage and had to choose between two white cards - one hiding the flag of the Netherlands, the other Spain. Mani grabbed a card in his beak Friday and flipped it over to reveal the Dutch flag.

Paul the Octopus did not choose the box with the Dutch flag. Rather, he went for the box with the Spanish flag, ending all drama.
When asked to predict the winner in the 3rd place play-off, Paul chose Germany ahead of Uruguay, much to the delight of the German fans.
